Program Overview- Compass Health Center

Program Overview

Compass Virtual’s OCD & Complex Anxiety Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) Programs for adolescents ages 13-18 provide immediate, short-term, and comprehensive treatment for individuals whose obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) or other complex anxiety symptoms significantly impair daily functioning.

These specialized programs are grounded in daily exposure and response prevention therapy (ERP). They aim to help individuals learn to tolerate symptoms, such as distressing thoughts or physical sensations, while minimizing and decreasing the distress caused by them. The goal is to enable individuals to live a meaningful, enjoyable, and values-based life despite their anxiety.

In addition to ERP, our virtual programs have a strong focus on acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) as well as skill building in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Adolescents are encouraged to practice working through anxiety in pursuit of their personal values. In doing so, highlighting the possibility of living a fulfilling life despite the presence of uncertainty or discomfort.
