Project Description

Program Overview

Dealing with anxiety can make everyday life challenging. Often times individuals spend more time tending to their anxiety than engaging in meaningful or productive activities. Our OCD and Anxiety Disorder Program helps participants manage their anxiety— learning how to embody acceptance, challenging thinking patterns, and reducing compulsive behaviors. This is all done in a collaborative and supportive environment where one can experience progress and personal growth.

The OCD and Anxiety Disorder Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) provides short-term, intensive treatment for adults 18+ whose anxiety symptoms significantly impair daily functioning. PHP is also intended to prevent individuals from requiring inpatient psychiatric hospitalization or for participants stepping down from an inpatient hospital or residential stay. Individuals in this program attend daily, Monday-Friday.

The OCD and Anxiety Disorder Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) treats individuals 18+ struggling with anxiety disorders that require more intensive and wrap-around treatment than would be available in outpatient settings and also do not require a higher level of care such as PHP or hospitalization. Individuals in this program attend 3-5 days a week.

Treatment Goals

Treatment plans are individualized and developed for each participant by our multidisciplinary team. Evidence-based therapies used to help individuals develop more effective coping skills include Exposure Response Prevention Therapy (ERP), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

Individuals in our OCD and Anxiety Disorder Program work with therapists who specialize in OCD, panic disorder, social anxiety, and other forms of complex anxiety. Participants will learn anxiety-specific coping skills and engage in daily group-based Exposure Response Prevention therapy. Additionally, individuals will meet with a psychiatrist to further address their symptoms and participate in family therapy when desired.
