Compass Health Center Launches Virtual Evening PHP and IOP for Young Adults & Adults with OCD, Expanding Access to Gold-Standard Treatment

New programs address a major barrier to specialized OCD care for working adults, students, and caregivers

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS — March 2, 2026 — Compass Health Center today announced the launch of Virtual Evening Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) options for Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), designed to address one of the most common barriers to specialized care: the inability to attend intensive treatment during traditional daytime hours.

Although Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) is the gold-standard psychotherapy for OCD, many adults struggle to access ERP within higher levels of care that fit into their lives. Work schedules, academic demands, and caregiving responsibilities often prevent individuals from participating in intensive treatment, even when symptoms significantly interfere with daily functioning.

Compass Health Center’s new Virtual Evening OCD PHP and IOP programs for young adults and adults (18+) provide structured, psychiatrist-led treatment focused on ERP and additional evidence-based therapies, delivered in a virtual evening format that allows patients to continue work, school, and family responsibilities while receiving the level of care they need.

At Compass Health Center, patients who complete specialized OCD treatment experience an average 44% reduction in OCD symptom severity, reflecting meaningful clinical improvement and functional gains.

“Too often, adults with OCD are forced to choose between their responsibilities and getting appropriate treatment,” said Taryn Kerr, Executive Director, Virtual Programs at Compass Health Center. “These virtual evening programs are designed to close that gap, making specialized, high-quality OCD care accessible to people who previously had few realistic options.”

The Virtual Evening OCD Programs include:

  • Psychiatrist-led, multidisciplinary treatment teams
  • ERP and additional evidence-based treatment modalities
  • Individual, group, and family therapy
  • Structured programming offered in evening hours
  • Same- and next-day assessments to support timely access

The programs are designed for individuals whose OCD symptoms are unable to be managed with weekly outpatient therapy alone and who require a higher level of structured support.

Compass Health Center is nationally recognized for its specialty-focused, age-based treatment model and integrated approach to mental health care. The launch of Virtual Evening OCD PHP and IOP reflects the organization’s ongoing commitment to meeting the needs of its communities and expanding flexible, clinically rigorous treatment options that meet people where they are.
