Compass Health Center Wisconsin Now In-Network with Optum, Expanding Access to In-Person and Virtual Mental Health Care

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

BROOKFIELD, WI – OCTOBER 17, 2025 — An estimated 2.18 million Wisconsinites live in areas with a shortage of mental health professionals (NAMI). To help bridge that gap in access to mental health care, Compass Health Center announced today that its Wisconsin-based in-person and virtual programs are now in-network with Optum. This partnership expands access to Compass’s evidence-based Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) programs for teens (ages 12–18), young adults (ages 18-23), and adults across the state.

Compass Health Center provides specialized, non-hospital-based treatment for individuals experiencing mood and anxiety disorders, OCD, school anxiety and refusal, and trauma. These programs are specialized for those who need more support than weekly outpatient therapy or psychiatry, but do not require emergency room or inpatient care, or are stepping down from that level of care. With flexible scheduling and immediate access, Compass helps patients build coping skills, improve daily functioning, and re-engage with life.

Founded in 2011, Compass Health Center remains committed to providing immediate access to evidence-based mental health care. This in-network partnership with Optum will provide the more than one million Optum Wisconsin commercial members access to expert, affordable, behavioral health services statewide, reducing financial barriers for Wisconsin families seeking support.
