Program Overview
The Child Neurodevelopmental Program is offered as part of the Mood and Anxiety PHP/IOP in our Chicago location. Some diagnoses treated include Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and Social Pragmatic Learning.
Treatment Goals
Rooted in evidence-based CBT and DBT, this program works to stabilize mental health symptoms for children with low to moderate needs. Programming also includes a PEERS-informed curriculum for social skills development.
Modalities
- Decreasing depression and anxiety
- Managing impulses
- Increasing academic skills such as organization, task initiation, and working independently
- Building relational skills
- Helping families of patients support generalization of skills to the home setting
- Medication management
All Compass programs include a family/support therapy session once a week or as clinically indicated. External support is essential for successful treatment and is proven as a comprehensive approach to mental wellness.
