The School Refusal Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) provides short-term stabilization for children and adolescents (ages 9 to 18) who have trouble attending school. The School Refusal PHP allows the patient to receive intensive psychiatric care during the normal school hours: Monday to Friday, 9AM to 3PM. The use of evidence-based treatments, family therapy, and close partnership with your child/adolescent’s school enable our staff to help facilitate a patient’s successful return to school. Individualized treatment programs addressing psychiatric symptoms and therapeutic goals are developed for each patient.

The Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) provides short-term stabilization for children, adolescents, young adults, and adults who are experiencing challenges such as mood disorders and depression and/or anxiety. Individual treatment plans that address psychiatric symptoms and behavior are designed by Compass’ multidisciplinary team for each patient’s specific needs. We utilize evidence-based therapies that minimize the need for hospitalization.
